| | Speed-Quote will search for the appropriate pictures and then display the "Compositor Screen". The Compositor Screen has 4 areas: |
| | |
| | - <color blue>Picture List</color> on the right side which shows all available pictures that Speed-Quote has found in it's search. |
| | - <color blue>Preview Window</color> on the left side which shows a preview of what the composite picture will look like. |
| | - <color blue>Parameters</color> are shown on the top of the screen. |
| | - <color blue>Create Picture Button</color> is at the bottom of the screen. |
| | |
| | When the Compositor Screen first appears, Speed-Quote adds all available pictures into the composite image. To remove a picture from the composite image, move the mouse over that picture and click on the red X button {{:public:tutorials:closex.png|}} that appears. To add a picture to the composite image, drag the picture from the <color blue>Picture List</color> on the right side of the screen onto the <color blue>Preview Window</color>. The compositor will automatically re-adjust the layout of the pictures to give the best composite image. |

| | The user can adjust the aspect ratio of the final image by moving the slider at the top. Moving it further to the right will tell the layout algorithm to try to place the pictures in such a way as to make the final image wider than taller. Moving it to the left will make the image taller. Move the slider until you get an image you prefer. |

| | When you are happy with the preview image press the <color blue>Create Picture</color> button at the bottom of the screen to close the screen and create the picture. |

| | ===== Using Pictures external to Speed-Quote ===== |
| | |
| | Speed-Quote can look for pictures in an external folder if the "ClientPrefs/ExternalPictures" setting is found. Use the Apptastic Registry Editor to create an "ExternalPictures" key and set the value to the full path of the picture folder. When using the "Make Composite From Assortments" feature, Speed-Quote will check this folder to see if there are any pictures with a filename that starts with any of the assortment style numbers and automatically include those pictures in the composite. |
