The "Easy Upgrade" option doesn't show up. What do I do?!?

You can manually upgrade Speed-Quote to the latest version by following these steps:

1) Make sure Speed-Quote is closed.

2) Open the Apptastic Registry Editor. Click the Windows Start Button→Programs→Speed-Quote Enterprise→Apptastic Registry Editor. or search for ApptRegEdit.exe.

3) Open the Plugins→Update key in the left hand area of the Apptastic Registry Editor.

4) If you do not see a “AltUpdateSite” field in the right hand side of the Apptastic Registry Editor, create it by right-clicking anywhere on the white area of the right hand area then selecting New→String Value.

5) In the dialog that pops up, type AltUpdateSite and then press the OK button.

6) Set the value of the “AltUpdateSite” field by clicking on the word “AltUpdateSite” and entering updates.apptastic.org/2024 in the dialog that appears. Then press the OK button in the dialog.

7) Open the ClientPrefs key in the left hand area and set the value of the “LastUpdate” field to 0 (zero) in the same way as step 5.

8) Close the Apptastic Registry Editor. If you are running SpeedQuote client then start Speed-Quote as normal. Update the software when prompted and when the update finishes you should have the latest version of the software.

9) If you are running SpeedQuote Server then start the Update Event manually. Client software will automatically update the next time it connects to the server.
