XML Import for Mattel Speed-Quote

XML Address import file structure

An optional address file can be included in the same XMLImport folder as the main xml file to import. This file is named with the XML import file name and .addr appended. (e.g. MapsDB.xml would have a MapsDB.addr file).

Here is an example .addr file with only a single entry:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Addresses>
   <Address CompanyID="LC_APPTASTIC" CompanyName="Apptastic Software Inc." CompanyType="VendorLC">

      <CompanyAddr01>1010 Polytek Street</CompanyAddr01>
      <CompanyAddr02>Unit 21</CompanyAddr02>
      <CompanyCity>Ottawa</CompanyCity>
      <CompanyState>Ontario</CompanyState>
      <CompanyCountry>Canada</CompanyCountry>
      <CompanyZip>K1J 9J1</CompanyZip>
      <CompanyWebPage>www.apptastic.com</CompanyWebPage>

      <Contact ContactID="LC_APPTASTIC_DAVE" ContactName="Dave Stephenson">
          <ContactPhone>(613) 748-7066</ContactPhone>
          <ContactFax>(613) 749-6910</ContactFax>
          <ContactEmail>[email protected]</ContactEmail>
      </Contact>

   </Address>
</Addresses>

The .addr file is an xml file with a <Addresses> root tag and multiple child <Address> tags. An <Address> tag would have the following attributes:

  • companyid (required) - the id attribute is the connection between this address and an address for a product in the main xml file.
  • companytype (required) - what type of address is this?
  • companyname (required) - the name of the company as it should appear in Speed-Quote.

The following values are valid for companytype attribute:

  • VendorDomestic
  • VendorLC
  • USRep
  • OverseasAgent
  • Manufacturer
  • Factory
  • CustomsBroker
  • Bank
