XML Import for Mattel Speed-Quote

A Speed-Quote XML Import file has an <SQDatabase> tag as it's root tag, followed by a <PRODUCT_INFO> tag for each product to update/create.

The <PRODUCT_INFO> node has multiple child tags with only the <TOY_NUM> tag being required. The <TOY_NUM> tag (along with the optional <DASH_CODE> tag) is the database key columns that define a product in Speed-Quote. Most fields are simply child tags under the <PRODUCT_INFO> tag, but there are some exceptions. Please see the mattelspeedquotefields.xls excel file for complete information of all fields. You can also see an interactive version of the Master Entry Sheet that shows the Table/Field/XMLImport names at: http://www.apptastic.com/support/sqmasterinfo/sqmaster01.html

Boolean Values

Some fields such as <WARRANTY_INCL> are boolean fields. The values for these tags can be the following:

  • true, t, yes, y, 1 - mean true
  • false, f, no, n, 0 - mean false

Assortment Information

Assortment information is added to the xml file by adding an <ASSORTMENT_INFO> tag and <ASSRTCHILD_XXX> child tags for an assortment products. For example:

<ASSORTMENT_INFO>
   <ASSRTCHILD_STYLENUM>12345</ASSRTCHILD_STYLENUM>
   <ASSRTCHILD_DESC>Assortment 1</ASSRTCHILD_DESC>
   <ASSRTCHILD_UPC>12345678901234</ASSRTCHILD_UPC>
</ASSORTMENT_INFO>
<ASSORTMENT_INFO>
   <ASSRTCHILD_STYLENUM>55445</ASSRTCHILD_STYLENUM>
   <ASSRTCHILD_DESC>Assortment 2</ASSRTCHILD_DESC>
   <ASSRTCHILD_UPC>12345678955567</ASSRTCHILD_UPC>
</ASSORTMENT_INFO>

The preferred method of including addresses is to include a .addr file alongside the .xml file for import. More information can be found on the XML Import for Mattel Speed-Quote page.
