Moving Speed-Quote to a different computer
Overview
In order to move Speed-Quote you need to follow these steps:
- Install the software on the new computer.
- Backup the data from the old computer.
- Copy the appropriate files from the old computer to the new computer.
- Restore the backup data to the new computer.
- If you are moving a Speed-Quote Server you will need to:
- point any Client computers at the new server
- disable the old Speed-Quote Server software
- Restart Speed-Quote

1. Install the software on the new computer
You will need to download the proper software from our website. If you are moving a Speed-Quote Server to the computer, download and install the Speed-Quote Server software. Otherwise download and install the Speed-Quote Client software.
2. Backup the data from the old computer.
